exeter, nh Engagement Shoot

On a chilly Sunday on January 30th, 2016 I had the pleasure of shooting Angela and Dominic's engagement session. Angela had hoped to get some winter shots with lots of snow as a backdrop. She also wanted to shoot near a rustic barn. With unseasonably mild temperatures, snow cover had all but disappeared. However, two local historic barns were in the plans for the day, and we took full advantage of all they had to offer. And to top it off, they had brought along their little dog, Mila, who ended up in a number of images of course!

After meeting at Me & Ollie's in Exeter, we headed out behind the downtown Exeter stores along the riverwalk boardwalk. River views and the colorful backdrop of the surrounding buildings made for some great photographs. Both Angela and Dominic were comfortable in front of the camera: their good looks, natural expressions, good natures, and genuine ease with one another, made my job easy. Not one to put my couples into contrived poses that invariably don't reflect who they are, Angela and Dominic gave me lots to work with in terms of poses, looks, and expressions. Their obvious love, respect, and care for one another was more then evident throughout the shoot.

The Fort Rock Barn in Exeter was our second stop. We captured many shots of the two of them as well as several that included their dog, Mila. Just down the road, we pulled over at the Newfields Road 'Old Red Barn' (complete with a silo!) and got some great shots with the iconic red barn as the backdrop.

Angela and Dominic will be married this summer back in Indiana. I wish them all the best and the pleasure of both having met and photographed this special couple was all mine.

Congratulations Angela and Dominic, and thank you!
